The off the saddle Sidebend Hip Hike is very effective over a long climb. It delivers excellent acceleration and reduces fatigue by involving the entire body in the climbing effort. Using the upper body in the pedal stroke, more power can be supplied to the crankarms. At the same time, leg fatigue is reduced when the upper body provides the power needed to complete a long climb.
